Getting Started

Coupons have been around for years, since the late 1800s. But your not here for a history lesson, you’re here to save money. Before we jump right in with both feet, here are some basic points to consider. What is your goal? Defining your objective will help you define your needs. Take inventory of existing items you already have on hand. Next, make an exhaustive list of the items you want to stock up on. A good place to start is with the basic staples, which you use consistently throughout the year, i.e. sugar, flour, rice, cold and hot cereals, can goods and pasta etc. Also, it helps to know what your current grocery budget is right now. Knowing your budget will help see how much money you save from month to month.
